My Partner and recently went to Cape Town for the first time this year!  where we attended the Business of Wine & Food Conference 2018. During our trip we were invited to stay at the Spier Wine Farm Hotel in Stellenbosch which was an absolute dream come true for an avid wine lover like myself.

Upon our arrival at the Spier Wine Estate, we were greeted with warm smiles by the friendly staff and a delectably chilled glass of wine, just the way I like it! And I must say apart from the breath-takingly natural and picturesque surroundings of the estate, the choice of art at the Wine Estate immediately caught my attention as the Hotel Foyer and bar is tastefully decorated with beautiful art pieces and vintage furnishing.

We were given a brief overview of the estate, activities onsite and a map for galivanting before we were escorted to our room. The hotel rooms were simple and elegant with stunning and historic looking French doors & windows. Once settled in, we went for lunch outside the restaurant in the garden where we relaxed and took it all in. This place is beautiful, the atmosphere boasts of tranquillity, the kind of peace I struggle to find in Johannesburg. Even though I wanted to relax, I couldn’t help but want to explore the estate. They have various activities such as bike riding, wine tasting, Vineyard Segway tours, hotel spa, snake & owl park, craft market, picnics and more! I really enjoyed the bicycle rides, the food and the wine, to be honest one the most memorable trips we have ever taken. This is no doubt not the last visit, we will definitely visit Spier Wine Farm again!
