Ok, so I have noticed something interesting for quite some time but never took it to heart until, recently. Colour!  yes, colour is ubiquitous but do we ever take note of this powerful element and how it makes us feel? I have become more aware as to how colour influences my mood, for instance, walking into a bright coloured room can lift my mood and make me feel light and as if there is so much space, or wearing a certain coloured clothing item makes me feel a certain type of way.

 

Mmmh, this might seem strange and so I decided to do some research on this just in case I was talking crap. Does colour influence human behaviour & mood? Research does indicate that colour does influence human behaviour, but this varies across race, gender, age & more. Another personal example, wearing something red makes me feel daring and sexy whether it is something as small as lipstick, red heels or a red dress/jumpsuit, an all-black outfit makes me feel mysterious, alluring and sophisticated and a yellow dress may make me feel happy and bubbly.

 

This post is inspired by the below outfit, when I put this outfit together I didn’t think that it would work, I mean matching different shades of blue together was not something I envisioned, but to my surprise it worked, but what surprised me even more is how calm and light this outfit made me feel. The light sky-blue flowy and pleated skirt infused with the button up deep sea blue shirt topped with a touch of nude and gold accessories brought about certain feelings of Serenity.
